Delta gains from analyst comments; Southwest objects to Delta and US Airways plans to hand out slots
North and South American carriers’ shares were up again on Tuesday (23-Mar-2010), as the Dow (+1.0%) reached a 17-month high. The US market rallied following better-than-expected housing sales for Feb-2010, which fell just 0.6%, compared to an expected 2% decline. The AMEX Airline Index (+0.5%) gained as a result.
