Ash Attack: Asia Pacific airlines rack up USD200 million in lost revenue from airspace closures
Asia Pacific airline stocks reversed heavy falls on Monday, rising across the board, with the exception of Qantas (-0.7%) and Japan’s Skymark Airlines (-1.6%). Thai Airways rebounded strongly (+11.1%) after big losses in recent weeks, while Asiana Airlines (+4.9%), China Airlines (+4.6%) and EVA Air (+4.1%) made healthy gains. Singapore Airlines added 1.7% and Cathay Pacific rose 1.0%.
