Record load factor and traffic growth for AirTran and WestJet in Apr-2010: LCC share wrap
Shares in AirTran Airways slipped 3.0% yesterday, on the same day the carrier reported traffic results for Apr-2010. During the month, the airline's traffic (RPMs), load factors and passengers enplaned represented new all-time company records for April, with RPMs increasing 8.1% to 1.6 billion, load factors improving 1.5 ppts to 81.9% and passenger numbers exceeding 2 million, a 4.2% year-on-year increase.
