China’s air passenger market to boom, but will high-speed rail restrict long-term prospects?

Shares in Chinese airport operators and suppliers followed a downward trend yesterday, with the exception of Beijing Capital Airport Company Ltd, which nudged 0.2% higher. Shanghai (-0.3%), Shenzhen (-0.4%), Guangzhou Baiyun (-0.6%), Hainan Meilan (-0.6%) and Xiamen (-1.7%) lost ground.
