AirAsia posts record 3Q profit, Malaysia Airlines returns to profitability
Malaysia Airlines returned to profitability in the third quarter (three months ended Sep-2010) with passenger and freight units performing well while AirAsia more than doubled earning in the period to a record high as travel demand improved amid the Asia Pacific region's economic recovery. AirAsia continued to outshine its full service rival that this month announced plans to expand in the market through low-cost subsidiary, Firefly.
