Brazil to become the 101st US open skies partner
Brazil was one of five economies in South America without an open skies agreement with the US until Dec-2010 when the two countries agreed to a framework for an Open-Skies Aviation Agreement to significantly liberalise service between the two countries by Oct-2015. Staggering of the liberalisation over five years will provide “visibility” for airlines already operating in the market.
