Oregon’s Bend Municipal Airport may be quieter these days with Cessna gone and Epic Air temporarily shuttered, its fate now in the hands of federal Bankruptcy Court. But according to a report in the Bend Bulletin, the airport remains a hub of commerce for the roughly dozen businesses still there, including one that wants to build a heliport. Additionally, unnamed aviation businesses are showing interest in the Cessna building, while the story reports that Leading Edge Aviation, which operates a helicopter flight school at the airport, has seen a 50% increase in enrollment compared with last year.
