US FAA reauthorisation gets closer
With the passage of the FAA reauthorisation bill by the US House of Representatives, the USD59.7 billion, four-year legislation, the latest of numerous attempts, has reached the farthest point toward passage than it has since the last legislation expired in 2007. While the House passage marks significant progress in the glacial legislative process, it now faces reconciliation with the Senate bill passed earlier this year which, unlike its House bill, calls for increasing FAA spending as does the White House.
