With its rich history and regional importance, Van Nuys Airport is a economic engine that should not be allowed to stall, says an editorial in the Los Angeles Daily News, which notes: “Yet, that is exactly what’s happened to this general aviation airport. Just a few years ago, the San Fernando Valley was able to brag that it was home to the nation’s busiest general aviation airport. Today, the airport has lost that title to Deer Valley Airport outside Phoenix, and local businesses worry the downward trend at Van Nuys Airport will continue.
