Rolls-Royce patent case against Pratt & Whitney dismissed

Rolls-Royce has lost its patent case against Pratt & Whitney’s parent United Technologies Corp. A US District Court of Alexandria, Virginia ruled that Pratt & Whitney's GP7200 fan stage does not violate a 2000 patent for Rolls' Trent engine family.
