Bengaluru Airport's T1 expansion commences amid continued traffic growth
Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) commenced ground construction work on Bengaluru International Airport's Terminal 1 expansion project on 06-Jun-2011. The development comes after the airport completed three years of operations in May-2011 having achieved a growth rate of 18% p/a, a higher rate than the national average of 16% and making it the fastest growing major airport in the country.
