E-Mag is celebrating seven years in the ignition business, with serial numbers now well over 2000. To mark the occasion, the Texas company is expanding its community give-back program, called the E-MAG Grass-Roots Project. Customers who buy ignitions from Sept. 19 to Nov. 30, 2011, can tell the company which EAA Chapter or type-network they want to send a contribution to. In Part I of the program, E-Mag will send $50 per ignition to the chosen beneficiary. In Part II, the company will match (up to $100 per ignition) any additional (cash) contribution the customer makes as part of their ignition purchase. This could generate a significant contribution — $100 to $500 per set (pair) of ignitions, company officials said, adding, "If asked, we'll pass on requests to have contributions earmarked for Young Eagles, Old Eagles, EAA scholarships, or other programs."
