A Texas physician who lost her husband when Jimmy Leeward's P-51 crashed into the tarmac at the Reno National Championship Air Races, killing 11 and injuring about 70, filed a $25 million wrongful death lawsuit Tuesday in Texas state court. According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, the suit, the first to be filed after the Sept. 16 crash, claims the Reno Air Racing Association’s conduct was “motivated out of a drive for profit and a disregard for safety” making it guilty of negligence.
