Continental and Delta increase fares; American Airlines wins on the Pacific and Atlantic

Most North and South American carriers’ stocks were up on Friday (12-Feb-2010), boosted a decline in oil prices (-2.0%), to USD73.05 and a rise in fares by five major US carriers. The AMEX Airline Index (+1.7%) made gains as a result.
